The psychology of images is very curious. When I was a student, I became very interested in Gestalt and the way in which our brains end up giving recognizable shapes to abstract shapes and stains.
It is the ability of the brain to solve problems with memory and experience, which is able to see beyond the represented and makes the result much richer than what is seen. Or put another way: The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
Based on these theories, the totality of my abstract works are made, to recognize information included in the chaos, that abstraction supposes.
I am also aware that the abstract has never interested me in the least, but ... it was very helpful when I began more than thirty years ago to experiment with synthetic images and magnetic media. Thanks to this step, I have been able with great effort and determination to reach the virtual images of post photography and to create my own methods of work.
I hope this small sample is to your liking. They are chosen from a collection of more than three thousand works.
